New years reflection and goals
New years reflection and goals
Lester Penalosa
4/1/11 – Padilla
In 2010, my accomplishments and achievements I attain in school was I won first in 100-meter dash run in relay. I also, have design a portfolio that consisted in grade 11 with all my work I have created in the past year of 2009 and 2010; in the end I was proud of what I have created. I have also perform some dance choreography and put on a show to people, seeing this to be a success in my 2010 year. I have achieved to perform in front of an audience with having the passion of dancing as its filler. This also has been done outside of school to, performing for dealers, and people who requested for it. I have created this mural downtown with my work and design of graffiti up on a shops wall. I achieved completing my community service hours with serving at this old folks home, playing the piano for their amusement. I feel that my 2010 accomplishments was great, having to be a student, who works, has school, cadets, and dance meet ups in his life. What I have learned and discovered about myself in 2010 was that my main focus should be leading into the arts. My whole life, habits, has always been doing arts and I haven’t realized till now. What I have learned about my future interests and goals in 2010 was that my strengths in school are all in the arts, My interests has grown to develop into doing photography as a hobby, graphic design for experience, and drawing sketches for fun. 2010 was the year that I truly came to realize that I should set my future goal to getting into a program with arts, graphic design, or in photography. This has helped me realize that I could reach my potential as a person who contributes to the media with his art talents.
After reflecting on 2010, I have decided to set up 3 goals for myself to achieve in 2011. My first goal is to never be late for the rest of the year. This was inspired by the past year experience when I was late everyday for my grade 12 attendance. This has taught me a valuable lesson not to be lazy, but to try harder to improve on myself in showing up and being there on time. This is a life experience lesson that I could learn from. My second goal is to graduate this year with an 80 percent average. This goal will help me in my future through school wise, and help me realize that I could achieve something I set my mind to. My past experience that I have done in 2010 was not my best, but something I am regretting of. But fulfilling this goal will help me realize I could do the things I want if I put effort into it. And my third goal for 2011 would be to improve on my myself; my well being, how I plan my schedule during the day, my social life, and everything that has to do with my daily living. The reason why I need this as a goal is because my character has been one where he tries many varieties of things in this world that in the end I really haven’t learned much. Improving on myself will teach me to be a better person and should lead me to succeed in life. The way that I am going to achieve my first goal would be to use an alarm clock. This device will help me get up on time in the mornings, and to better prepare myself to set up for school. For my second goal, the way that I am going to achieve this goal is to really try my best. Maybe also get some help some experience people and seek their guidance on how I should do some certain thing for this certain task like for example; if I were to seek help on creating a typography work, I would try to find a person who I could take advice on how I should approach it in the best way possible. And for my third goal, the way that I’m going to achieve is to try to approach situations wisely. Have more time management in myself, get some help in learning a skill, and do whatever I can to improve on myself. Having to achieve this takes time and effort to accomplish and truly has its way in fulfilling what I could become in the future. It takes the willingness of myself to see what I could become in 2011, putting in my time and effort.
